    There is a conflict between NextGen Gallery 3.8.0 and WP Show Posts 1.1.3.

    When both plugins are activated, pages with WPSP shortcodes in them throw the following error notification upon page saves:

    “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”

    This also happens on pages where a WPSP shortcode is the only thing present on the page.

    When WPSP is deactivated (w/NG active), the error goes away. When NG is deactivated (w/WPSP active), the error goes away.

    Saving pages with NG shortcode present and no WPSP present, does not generate the error.

    Current environment is WP 5.7, GeneratePress theme 3.0.3, GP Premium plugin 1.12.3, PHP 7.4.16

    How do we resolve this JSON error?

    Hi, I am glad to help.

    Please let us know if the issue persists after our recent updates.

    Also did you deactivate all your other plugins and left only the apparently conflicting ones? Some times there are 3 way conflicts. Basically deactivate all your plugins except nextgen gallery and then start reactivating one at a time and see which one triggers the issue again.

    same problem with nextgen & Tribe events calendar.
    When I create an event , and nextgen plugin is activated -> Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.
    when I disable nextgen plugin, it works.
