    I get this error when I try to update a post.
    I get this error when I try to publish a post
    “Publishing failed. Error message: Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this post.”

    I am the admin of the website, so im not sure why it says I don’t have permission.

  • Hello,

    You can try disabling all plugins in case one is breaking your backend functionality.

    You should also make sure all your plugins are up to date.

    One thing you can try is changing to the classic editor to see if this works for you.

    Thank you, i think this worked. The culprit was Printfuls app to woo commerce. But now when I try to post something it hangs on the publish. No error or anything just endlessly loads but never publishes the post. I believe that is a hosting problem so I will ask them about it.

    I Just got the same issue, started today. Did you come up with a solution?

    The solution that has worked for me is using a incognito window. Which involves login in each time and is a real pain. But it works for me then.

    I had same issue. I did logout and login again my issue has been solved.
