    Hi Tobias,

Is there a way to update the data in a table. I understand that we can manually change/append the data, but is there a way to delete the existing data and upload a new CSV fie?

[I requested support on the issue of CSS targeting specific ‘id group’ previously.]

    Thank you.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Yes, you could either delete the table, or individual rows, and then import a new CSV file on the “Import” screen of TablePress, where you can either add a new, replace an existing, or append to an existing table.

    Hi Tobias,

Hope you are having a Great Day!

Following your advice, I was able to append a row to one of the tables – just for the experiment.

It seems, rows can be added only at the end, and not at the top. After adding the row at the bottom, I had to move it up to the top. Is it the only way?

I think, columns can also be added at the end only?

I couldn’t figure out how to delete the data, and upload a new CSV file into an existing table – is it possible?

I really appreciate your help very much.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

yes, rows and columns can only be added to the end – however, you can insert rows and columns as well. So, inserting a row before the first one is the same as adding one to the top.
For that, just click the checkbox on the left of the first row and then the “Selected rows: Insert” button. A nice trick: If you hold down the “Shift” key while clicking, you can insert multiple rows with the clicks.

In the same way you can delete rows and columns. To replace a full table, just import your CSV file and choose to replace the existing table (no need to delete it first).

    Regards,
    Tobias
