updating Clarification needed

    Updating clarification on this section, instructions say I need to back things up

    but

      then

    it says ‘Remember –

      you have NOT backed up the files and folders

    – such as images – but all your posts and comments are now safe.’
    To backup the files and folders, Should I have to FTP the entire site and save it somewhere?
    Also are there restore instruction if I need to go back?

    sorry nervous about the process, and replace the file in wp-contents ,but not the entire folder

    i didn’t back anything up yet since i saw those instructions here

    i thought if i logged on to my host i could do a full backup here, but it doesn’t back up files and folders. So i guess i need to ftp all the files in addition to making this zip.

    Can you suggest a reliable back up plugin perhaps, thanks?

    ok, i got a backupwordpress plugin, and it is activated but i’m not sure how to get it to run

    using the plugin was easy enough, now to ftp the right files in the right place since the auto update button won’t work, and can’t upload zip.newversion

    do i need to Deactivate the backup plugin b4 upgrading?
