Updating Child Themes

  • This might seem like a really obvious question but I have only recently started using child themes on my wordpress sites.

    My current theme (storefront) recently updated automatically to version 2.0

    The storefront child theme that I am currently using however is still of the previous version (1.6).

    Should I now create a new storefront child theme from the recently updated parent theme or can I just keep running my current child theme as usual?

    The whole purchase of a child theme is to have something that only includes your modifications. Only the PARENT theme is updatable.
