Updating blog post via API not working for elementor posts

    Hi! I apologize if this is answered somewhere else but I can’t find it.

    I am trying to update the content of old blog posts on a wordpress site – a good chunk were edited with Elementor – so I download all the HTML that returns in the WordPress REST API under “Content”, make the updates, then try to simply POST that full HTML (still with all the elementor styling) back into “Content” via the wordpress api – it says success but the content that shows as posted is the exact same as previous, it will not actually update.

    Is there a best practice for updating the contents of blog posts on a wordpress that were created/edited with elementor? thank you VERY much for your help here, and again, sorry if this is a stupid question that has been answered.
