    Hi,
I’m trying to update my website through the Customise panel (social icon links, featured pages etc), however I am unable to save these changes.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance

  • Did you try clearing your browser cache?

Are you using a cache plugin? Again, try deleting cache.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that but no luck.

When I make a change, I then push Save & Publish. It times for a second then stops. It appears that it’s saved the change but then when navigate away from the panel it states my changes won’t be saved and do I really want to leave the page. I just can’t work it out.

That’s a strange one. The S&P button changes to Saved when it works.

I’ll flag to @d4z in case he has any ideas.

    Link to site might help.

Hi @redellconsulting, did you flag this issue up with @d4z?

It’s really causing me issues as I can’t update my website.

    Hello,
    yes rdell did it.
Say what’s wrong there it’s pretty hard.
You should debug it on your own. Things to do:
    1) Disable all your plugins and see if it still happens.
1a) If it doesn’t occur, enable them one by one in order to find the culprit, if you’re interested in it.
    2) Be sure your issue is with this theme, so switch on a standard theme for a while (ex. twentyfifteen) and see if it still occurs.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks d4z for the suggestions.
If I change to another theme, what will happen to all my content? Will I lose everything?

    That’s just the step2,
the first step is more important, ’cause some plugin might conflict with this theme but not with another theme.
And no, you won’t lose your contents, themes are just the way contents are displayed. ??

Ok – that’s fixed it! It was a plugin causing it!
    Thanks so much – phew!

    Glad you solved.
Would you mind marking this topic as resolved?
    Thanks
