Hi – I just have the comment that combining notices for Plugin, Theme, and Core is a bad idea. I’m now getting swamped with notices to update every single plugin. But I’m hesitant to turn this off since knowing about core WP updates is important. Can you please separate or just switch back to plugins with some security issue? Thanks!

  • Thanks for reaching out.

Have you tried going to the Wordfence > Dashboard > Global Options page in the Email Alert Preferences section and configuring the alerts there? If you set the option “Alert me with scan results of this severity level or greater” to high you won’t get alerts about plugins or theme updates if your version has a known vulnerability. You can read more about the alert settings here:
    https://www.wordfence.com/help/dashboard/alerts/
We also provide a video walkthrough of the alert settings to help you configure them and avoid “alert fatigue”. There are several I disable by default any time I set up Wordfence on a site because they are non-actionable and those are discussed in the video.

Let me know what you think.

    Tim
