Updates fail (can't connect to ftp message)

  • Hello there:
    I have a problem when trying to update my plugins or themes (also WP core). There is a message that says “couldn’t connect to server https://ftp.mydomain.com”

    I have checked that the ftp details are right (I can connect using Filezilla) and files and folders permissions seem to be ok. I have tried also to update with all plugins deactivated. Nothing seems to work.

    Does anyone have ideas? What more should I check?
