Updated WordPress and theme has reset, how do I go back?

  • I’ve just updated WordPress to version 3.1.1 and the theme and styling that I had been working on has reset to the old theme and my styling has gone, can I get it back to how it was before the update? Hope someone can help, thanks in advance. ??

  • If you customised the Twenty Ten theme, you can’t. Sorry.

    Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

    Would I do that by duplicating the Twenty Ten theme and then renaming it something else?
