  • I think I can see what the problem is but I don’t know how to fix it (other than delete the plugin). I think it is looking for:

    /wp-content/plugins/bdthemes-element-pack-lite/modules/featured-box/module.info.php

    but I don’t have /featured-box folder in my modules folder. I think it might be as simple as that.

    OK, I can get it to load if I remove:

    ‘featured-box’,

    from this array in /wp-content/plugins/bdthemes-element-pack-lite/includes/modules-manager.php:

    public function __construct() {
    $modules = [
    ‘accordion’,
    ‘business-hours’,
    ‘call-out’,
    ‘contact-form’,
    ‘cookie-consent’,
    ‘countdown’,
    ‘custom-gallery’,
    ‘featured-box’,
    ‘flip-box’,
    ‘image-accordion’,

    It’s referencing a module it cannot find. I’ll wait for the fix but at least (I don’t think) I have to delete it!

    wow @milumir thanks for that tip! its definitely helpful. I couldnt do the ftp solution since I need the plugin, but the rollback plugin did the trick for now, until they solve the issue.
    thanks so much! and thanks @sandee9 for starting the conversation.

    @spiritcss rename plugin, yes

    @spiritcss use ftp to rename the plugin, this will deactivate it so that you can login to your site again

    @spiritcss When my site crashed, I automatically received an email with a link to the recovery console. I went to the control panel in safe mode, installed the Rollback plugin there and rolled back to the previous version of Element Pack

    Thank you @milumir For solving other developer’s problem. but actually i don’t have ftp access and Admin dashboard is also not working , It is not working for me, Is there any solution?

    @sandee9 you don’t need ftp. You wrote before you got the message “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
    So if you can check admin email, it have to contain an email from [email protected] with a link (temporary link) to recovery console. You should use this link from email. You will be address to your WP Console in safe mode.

    Ok Thank you so much @milumir . I will try with this.

    This sucks!!! problem on line 125, you guys have to fix this ASAP please!
    Thanks @milumir for that tip! you have save me!!!

    Does anyone know the reason for the 500 error message to be shown? I am aware it’s from the featured-box module, but how is that called? Is it a certain action a user has taken on the plugin, a certain feature in the plugin that was used? Because I’ve had this plugin installed for some time without updating it and my site too went down last night.

    I also face the same error after updating today –

    This plugin failed to load properly and is paused during recovery mode.

    An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 125 of the file /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/bdthemes-element-pack-lite/includes/modules-manager.php. Error message: require(): Failed opening required ‘/var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/bdthemes-element-pack-lite/modules/featured-box/module.info.php’ (include_path=’.:’)

    Please fix this issue asap but till then can you please let me know how I can install the old version till you fix the issue.

    Hello @mohammaadfarid
    Thank you for the updated version.
    I had to deactivate the plugin in order to login to my WordPress & the items I created with this plugin were gone, now that updated the plugin and activate it again the items are still gone. is there any way to recover them?
    Thanks.
