Updated to WC Version 4.5.0 now 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered

    I just updated and now ALL of my pages show a “500 Internal Server Error error was encountered”

    It’s every e-commerce page. Any thoughts before I restore from a backup (loosing a days worth of updates)?

    Clicking on the WooCommerece section in my dashboard says “There was an error getting your inbox. Please try again.”

    I did do the DB update after the 4.5.0 install as required.

    Hi there,

    If you’re able to access WooCommerce ? Status ? Logs, you might find a descriptive error in the “fatal-errors-” log with the most recent date. If there’s multiple options, you can select the relevant date from the drop-down to the right on that page.

    Otherwise, if you’re not able to access your admin side either (or if there’s not helpful errors in that log), you’ll be able to more errors from your hosting account’s error_log, which you can ask your host’s support to help you find.

    Either way, there should be clues in the logs as to the origin of the 500 error, and likely a direction for us to head in on this.

    I paid a nice Fiver expert to fix it. He said…

    “The problem was on the site permalink

    You didn’t update the site permalink after the site update

    No plugin conflicts..It was permalink problem..So I update the permalink and its fixed”

    So hooray, it’s working!
    Boo!.. that there was some permalink update needed after the plugin update and it cost me money to fix.
