Hey all and thanks for your support,

I haven’t been very attentive to my site lately and I just went through with a routine update to wordpress version 4.0

    Problem site: minnesotaparkour.com

Most of the front end of the site looks fine, but the back end is all messed up. Currently all it will display all of the standard sidebar options(Posts + sublinks, Media + sublinks, Pages + sublinks, etc) as an indented list of links with no formatting. Then, far below all of that, it displays what would normally be found in the ‘main content’ area of the dashboard. Clicking the links will change the content part, but it has lost all of its fancy functionality by displaying it all like a big text list. Has anyone seen this before? Thank you for your help.

    Try:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fourteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

Sounds like a rogue plug-in to me.
