    After an update to the latest version of woocommerce 3.7.0 and update to the latest version of square 2.0.4 payments don’t work correctly.

    The problems we’re having:

    1) When a user tries to register when checking out / via checkout page there payment doesn’t go through.

    2) When a user is logged in they also get a error when trying to pay. – “We were unable to process your order, please try again.”

    3) If a user checks out as a guest, then it works fine.

    We had to go back to the previous version of woocommerce 3.5.2 and back to the older version of square 1.0.38. for it to work properly.

  • How do we revert to working versions? I don’t have downloads of them. Hoping that would fix our issues.

    I am having trouble figuring out what is happening for users. More abandoned carts than I would think but when I do test transactions they go through. Then a user will say they couldn’t pay…

    I’m stuck with square any suggestions on alternatives to woo without starting from zero with site?

    @amyr123 Yeah they can’t pay because they are logged in. If they pay as guest it will work. That’s why it’s working for you. I think you are trying as guest.

    Thank you for your patience! We don’t have any other reports of the same problem from other sites–just tested this on mine, and I can place an order both when logged in and logged out.

    If you’ve already reverted both Square and WooCommerce versions, which is understandable, perhaps you can set up a test site where we can check this?

    Some hosting providers offer a one-click solution to create a staging site, so you may want to check this with yours. If they don’t, you can create a test copy using the free **WP Staging** plugin:
