• Hi.

    my web
    https://nipponmedia.net

I updated it to 2.6 and well… it quite got messed up.

I mean just the site view.
If I log in into site admin everything but themes works perfectly.

I can make posts, back up db etc etc

But the themes part, every theme where it should be a picture of the theme theres nothing.
If I select a theme, preview it or apply it nothing happens.

If you look @ my site it just looks like plain ol text just lying in there without a theme/bg or anything.

Ive tried re-uploading the themes, uploading the wordpress files again.
But i dont know whats the problem.

    please some help in this.

  • It looks like you either have no themes at all or they’re not at the place where they should be. I also get errors when paging through the website. It looks like there are files missing, put in a subfolder (foldername/foldername/files instead of foldername/files) or something. Are all files on the server (correctly) when you check with FTP or the file manager of your control panel?

Or possibly permissions on the themes you copied over?

    EXACT same problem here …

I re-uploaded all the files like 3 times
the themes are there, where they should be.

I cant even use the default theme.

Ive checked teh files through ftp and they are alright, and even so, ive re-upload all of them. still doesnt work =\

nipponmedia … I have the exact same problem to a tee … Uploaded them several times too… Terribly frustrating. Hope someone can help us!

bb, your problem is NOT the “exact” thing. You described it in your other thread.

Sorry … when I click on nipponmedia’s link above it’s the same look as my site. I cannot change to any theme at all including the default.

Thats called a symptom. If you read what nipponmedia wrote, and read what you wrote in YOUR thread — theyre not the same. and they do NOT describe the same problem.

Furthermore, IF you actually follow any of the links I posted above that point to that other site, you’ll see that godaddy 404 pops up.

Yours is being redirected, OR wp is handling the 404 (i didnt check to see if a real 404 is being sent).

The point is, THAT, along with what you said about the “incomplete theme” message you are getting, indicates it’s a different problem.

The fix, is the same for both. You upload the files to the PROPER directories, in ascii mode.. Then you make sure that they are readable by the web server.

    I just re-uploaded teh whole wp-content/themes directory
    and nothing changed =\
could it be the error is in my hosting?
It wouldnt be the first time my host would messed up something

I just deleted all my themes, then uploaded the default and core ones that come with WP
    and same thing again.

you see the description in the theme area, but no pic. if you try to preview it or apply it. is the same.

and Im convinced youre not putting the themes where they belong.

contact me via the contact form on my web site — give me your ftp info, and I will be happy to look for you.

now, by the way.. wp is handling the 404 instead of your hosting. (i just rechecked one of the links up above)

    (@nipponmedia)

i think i am uploading them where they belong
cuz i just deleted all of them
    and it showed in WP
    then uploaded core and default
    and it shows

    but ok
