• I’ve been using editorial calendar for years and rely on it. I updated to the newest version this morning and now the calendar page returns a 404 error. I am running the latest wordpress on the latest version of Extreme Weaver theme.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @maria-grace ,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m really sorry for the trouble! Let’s get this sorted out for you. Could you please try deactivating and deleting the plugin, then reinstalling and activating it again?

We’ve tested the latest version of the plugin on our end with the Extreme Weaver theme and the latest WordPress update, and everything seems to work here. But if you still experience issues after reinstalling, don’t hesitate to let us know! We’re here to help.

    Best Regards,

I did that initially and it did not work. I tried downloading the plugin from the developers site and reinstalling that. It did not work. I have added another editorial calendar plug in that does work, deactivated that, and tried this one, and it still does not work. I get a 404 error whenever I try to go to the calendar page.

After my initial post, I also discovered that the link to a draft post was also corrupted, creating a 404 error for the post. Eventually I tried copying the post using a JETPack function and was able to create a copy of the post that way.

    Hi @maria-grace,

Thank you for following up and sharing those additional details. I’m sorry to hear the issue persists and is affecting other links on your site.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that might help resolve this:

    1. Permalinks Refresh: Sometimes, WordPress needs a quick refresh of the permalinks to clear out any glitches. Please try going to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and simply click “Save Changes” without making any adjustments. This action can often fix 404 errors for specific links or pages.
    2. Theme Conflict Check: Even though we tested with the Extreme Weaver theme, issues can sometimes be theme-specific. You could try temporarily switching to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty-One) and see if that resolves the issue. This will help determine if the theme might be interacting with the plugin in an unexpected way.
    3. Caching/Performance Plugins: If you have any caching or performance optimization plugins installed, clear their caches and disable them temporarily. Sometimes, cached data can interfere with the display of pages after an update.
    4. Error Logs: If you’re comfortable checking your error logs (usually accessible through your hosting control panel), any error messages related to the calendar or drafts might shed light on what’s happening.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, let us know. We’re here to keep working with you on this!

    Best Regards,
