Updated to 4.6, slider stopped working

  • Just updated to 4.6 and FA Lite 3.1.4. We are using the php code in our home page and the slider suddenly stopped working. I have checked the troubleshooting ideas you have posted here and everything is fine other than the wordpress version. Is there a timeline of when this will be updated to work with wordpress 4.6 or is there something that needs to change in the shortcode to get it to function? Thanks,

    Hi,

    I just (re)tested WP 4.6 with FA Lite 3.1.4 and everything looks fine.

    By any chance, did you also update your WP theme too? I’m asking because you said you used the PHP code to display a slider into your homepage. This means that you edited one of your theme files and placed the code in it. If you didn’t use a child theme to put your modifications in, when you updated the theme all your changes were overwritten.

    It is a custom built theme (child). We only updated to WordPress 4.6. The code is still in there, I checked. Thanks,

    I understand, great, thank you for the update. Another thing that could have happened is that the slider ID you entered doesn’t exist anymore or it was unpublished.
    Can you please confirm that the ID from the PHP code is actually of a slider that is published?

    yes, it is published and it is the same id in the php code.

    I see… Honestly, I really can’t tell what could be going wrong. We tested WP 4.6 with the plugin and everything went well.
