    Hey there,
This is my first time here, so I want to say hello to everybody!

I’ll go straight to the point(s)…
The first one is perhaps the most important: since I wasn’t happy with my server response, I recently switched host to siteground in order to have better performances, and actually the server response of my website changed from 1second to 0.2 seconds..
Problem is that I’m always unsatisfied, so I decided to update my thene from the good ol’ customizr 3.2 to the brand new 3.5.5…
Well, since then I sensibly noticed a decrease in the performances of the website, exactly when the browser has to load the structure of the theme. It looks like the website got stuck loading some script or query, dunno, it just takes more time than the old version!

The second issue it’s about the slider on my front-page: after the update, I had all the images of the slider in column (one under the other), and without the images!
The result is that the website’s layout got really messy, so I had to disable it..

Are these issues known? Does anybody experienced the same problems, and if so, does anybody have a fix?

The website I’m referring to is https://www.sismed-it.com

Thanks in advance for your help

    Cheers,
    Emanuele

  • Hi,

It could be cache issue or plugin conflict.

    1) If you are using a server cache or cache plugin, please clear it’s cache content and disable caching via it’s settings.

    2) Proceed to disable one plugin at a time, clear browser history and re-visit your slider. Check if it’s working properly.

Do this until you find the plugin that’s causing this issue, please replace with an alternative plugin.

    Thank you

    Hi,
first of all thanks for the answer.

I checked all my plugins and, funny enough, a plugin called “Remove Query Strings From Static Resources”, which is used to speed up and increase the ratings of websites, was conflicting and slowing down everything.

Now I didn’t notice any problem before the update, so I guess some changes affected the interaction between the theme and the plugin; I’m writing this to inform all the users and the developers about the bug.
The plugin was causing the slider issue as well.

    Hope this thread will help,
    Cheers

    UPDATE:
Actually, there are a LOT of plugins that conflict with customizr 3.5.5
Here’s the list of the plugins I had to disable so far:

    – Jetpack (when activating the infinite scroll option)
    – User Access Menu
    – Remove Query string

I Repeat, these plugins were working fine before the update, don’t know if you guys can work on it, but some of these are pretty common, and pretty useful too…
