• I thought this my work with the updated WordPress to 5.3 I just put in a image and saved it and can not click on it to make it full size. I have to click on to edit the HTML and add a <a href="https:test.jpg"> skip to the end of the <img src=" and put a </a>

Then can click on it to make it full size.

Don’t know why they don’t add it in. Before they had blocks it auto did this. I hope they add it back in.

Or is there some script can edit to have it do this?

When you’re editing your post and you insert an image (or click on an image that’s already inserted), there’s a chain icon just above it. Click on that icon, and you can select either Media File or Attachment Page. Media File is probably the one you’re looking for.
