Updated Plugins which broke my site

So I was updating the plugins on my site which then put my site in maintenance mode. After about 20 minutes I got a Internal Server Error. I did delete the maintenance folder in the FTP and changed Plug-In name in the FTP to see if that worked. Unfortunately it did not work and my site is still down. Any idea what happened and how I can fix this?
