I have updated to the latest version recently (2.2) and have had to re authenticate everything.

During the getting started wizard, I am unable to select the catalogue that populated by the previous version of the plugin.

Should I start a new catalogue? and if I do, how will that affect product tagging in instagram? will the client see duplicated products?

    Hey @wurwaldesign,

It looks like the Facebook team is aware of the issue that caused the need to re-connect and working on a fix for it currently. However, below are the instructions that Facebook is recommending for the time being (while they work on a long-term solution):

    – Download and install the Facebook for WooCommerce extension (https://woocommerce.com/products/facebook/), where you will see the set-up screen to reconnect to your Facebook account when opening the app.
    – After opening the plugin, click through the step-by-step flow to login with your Facebook credentials, and reselect the Facebook Business Manager and other Facebook assets you previously synced with the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin.
    – Click through all asset selection steps until you have completed the setup flow.

Based on what you mentioned, it sounds like you were going through the correct steps, but I’m not sure how this might affect Instagram in the short-term (after going through these steps) or in the long-term (after the issue is resolved by the Facebook team). If you notice any problems, feel free to share them here or reach out to their support team directly and provide them with that information.

My query above states that I can not select the catalogue previously populated via an older version of the plugin when re authenticating.

I have no idea what the plugin will do if I delete the old catalogue and create a new one and was hoping you could provide me some insight. If there is one thing I have learned with this plugin, is that once you have made a decision with it, you can not go back.

Hi @wurwaldesign. Sorry that we missed your last post. You’re right that deleting the catalog can cause issues with the Facebook connection.

Would you be able to share a screenshot of the error that you are receiving please? I haven’t encountered this error and would like to check the plugin to see what is the correct way forward.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
