  • I have the same problem and am using the same fix for now. If you open the file …/the-events-list-category-widget.php, line 15 refers to an absolute path:
    include_once( ABSPATH . '/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/widget-list.class.php' );

    It looks like The Events Calendar has changed its structure and the widget needs to catch up. I can’t find the lib directory at all, or the widget-list.class.php file anywhere.

    I’m running The Event Calendar 3.10, The Events Calendar Widget 0.9.4 on WordPress 4.2.2 running Contango theme.

    Thank you for the info. I just did some digging and found

    wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe

    There is List_Widget.php, I do not have the old file to computer but the note in the file sounds like it might just be what this plugin is looking for. Since there was such a drastic changes I am not sure if just point the file to the new location would solve the issue.

    Wish I had read this before trying the plugin. ?? How did you disable it? I’m not seeing it in my plugin directory.

    I basicly had to manually disable the plugin from the database. That was how I found the issue.

    Thanks mtuffey! I literally was just typing my update…I figured it out the same way you did.

    **the surest way to find a solution immediately on your own is ask a support forum, right? LOL

    PLEASE PLEASE help. I am getting this error:

    even if I knew how to fix it, or to disable it, I cannot get into the site to do so. This site is a charity site and we are having a big food drive that I need to post to. I am sick that I installed this plugin.

    Is there anyone who can help me? I am desparate. Our director checks on the site a lot and I look like a complete idiot for suggesting this plugin.

    thanks
