Updated page content not appearing

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

I have noticed that if writing a post in the post editor while in HTML Mode can be a little buggy. Double check that you are using the Visual Mode to write posts.

In what way? I’ve got quite a few 2.8.2 installs (development and live sites) and haven’t noticed any problems.

We also have many WordPress 2.8.2 installs and writing a post while in the HTML Mode and allowing the page to autosave can often, not always, but often delete the copy or changes as it were.

I’ve got a similar problem under WordPress 2.8.4 when writing a new post, which renders as white text on white ground – if I select all, I get a faint blue highlight around my copy.

There are no toolbars available to use of any description and neither the Visual Editor nor the HTML Editor can be selected.

This appears to be platform or OS-related, since last night I was working on a Mac under 10.5 and tried both Camino and Safari, with the same results. When I log on using a PC *sigh* everything came back to normal under Windows XP.

Most of the time I would be using 10.4.11, but since the PowerBook is in a workshop right now, I haven’t been able to check the impact of the OS fully. Could this be a Leopard-specific issue?

The change of platform probably absolves plugins from blame, but I could do with a readable edit window. (I get the red underlines as a consolation prize, but that’s about it!)
