I went to put up a new post this morning, and saw that POSTX had a new update. On my production site I ran the update. Afterwards, the public site still functions, but I cant access any admin aspects. I get this error “The link you followed has expired.”

I was in the admin before the update obviously, as I started the updated. Immediately after updating got “The link you followed has expired.”

I am workign to restore my site to an earlier backup. Site has a ton of images so its a long hassle.

not 100% saying it was your update, but…

Update: After restoring to a backup from before the PostX update, I can now access wpadmin again. Clearly postx is the problem for me?

    Hello @skyzlmt

This is because of your object cache. Please deactivate our plugin, then go to your caching plugin > disable your object cache, and then enable our plugin. After that, you can enable your object cache again.

That way, you can avoid this issue.

I need to be sure of one more thing. Are you using only the free version or the pro version?

I’m also experiencing this issue on multiple sites, all with the Pro version. I should note that my caching is handled at the host level, not via plugin.

    Hello @gastronomicslc,

We updated the pro version with fix the issue. Current pro version is 1.6.1. Update your plugin. It should resolve your issue. One more thing. This forum is only for free user. For pro user we have email and live chat. Please contact our development team through chat or email.

I am also a Pro user. Wasn’t clear that as pro user I should use email/chat. Thank you for the patch. I will try it on a backup (staging) copy of my site.

Will the “disable cache first” be a requirement going forward? I dont have to do that with other plugins. I’ll add that after I upgraded and lost access to admin, I could still clear the cache from the Cloudways admin and it still did not clear the issue.
