On yoururl.com/wp-admin/index.php you’ll see this dashboard widget:

I have created a simple guide to help anyone who can’t fix the issue:

    [Moderated with the below]

    1. Simply head to the WordPress Dashboard
    2. Scroll down till you see the ‘Yoast SEO Post Overview’ section
    3. Then click ‘Fetch the current status’
    4. Then refresh the page once the fetch is complete

Just for those who are struggling to find it, here is what the yoast section looks like on the WP dashboard:

Hi @ryanscollon, Is there any chance you could replace the link to your blog with the solution in this thread? It’s better if solutions are kept on the www.remarpro.com forums, thanks!

    Fix with affiliate? Fantastic…

    “&utm_campaign=free&utm_medium=link&utm_source=yoast&offer_id=2&aff_id=872”

Money, money, money…yoast, your plugin sucks up more and more.

@andrew: Well, that would be pointless. The solution already has been posted. ryanscollon’s (props, btw!) post uses screenshots. Which we can’t do here. So he’d just post what already had been posted.

I’ve done that and the message at the top of the dashboard is no longer there but the message about the home page is still in the Posts Overview on the dashboard.

@motivmedia, Not knowing how to post an image on the forums is not a good reason to create a blog post instead. Please see @ryanscollon‘s post.

Didn’t work for me. Clicked fetch the current status, refreshed my page and the message saying “your homepage cannot be indexed by search engines is still there”.
