Updated all packages – not a good idea. Permalinks broken

  • Hi,

    I updated all my packages using Webmin the other day which messed up a lot of stuff. I’ve managed to fix most of it (I’ve had to clone to the broken linode to work on and restore my original from a backup)

    What I can gather, from my limited understanding is that the Apache update is causing my websites to longer read their .htaccess files (Therefor, all my Permalinks are 404ing).

    Linode told me:

    This seems to be an issue with your WordPress database, not your Apache configuration. I would recommend reaching out to the WordPress community for help.
