Update WP to 4.5.2: Soliloquy lost current slider images and can't add more
-
Hi
I just updated WP from 4.4.1 and found that my front page slider suddenly wasn’t showing images. Soliloquy is creating the slider code on the page but the src for all the images is blank.
When I checked its setup, there were placeholders for thumbnails but no actual thumbnail images showing. The problem showed up straight after the update (I keep a copy of the home page loaded in the browser prior to updates so that I can do a quick visual check for any layout changes/problems)
I’m using Lite, so I tried adding more images to the existing slider with drag and drop. This appeared to work (an upload happened) but again only placeholders of the thumbnails showed up, and the new images also didn’t appear on the slider.
I uninstalled then reinstalled the plugin and created a new slider. Checked that the images had uploaded into a folder (uploads/2016/05). But still thumbnails only showed as placeholders. I can see that soliloquy knows about the images associated with the slider – it creates the img tag with an alt referring to the image but the src is blank.
I’ve checked permissions on the uploads folder and they allow for read and write etc but I suspect that something is stopping soliloquy from either making its own images and thumbnails but I’m not sure how to further troubleshoot this.
Am using the most current version of the plugin, and my theme is a mod of Quark. Server is Apache, hosted by totalchoice.
Site is here: https://www.thebungalow.co.nz/
I’m leaving it as is for a day or two but will need to resolve it some other way before too long, so am copying the img code here:<img id=”soliloquy-image-79″ class=”soliloquy-image soliloquy-image-1″ src=”” alt=”Back door2-sm”>
