    Hi there amazing helpers!

I’ve just updated to the last version of WordPress and the plugins too and something went really wrong! Now the website is down and I can not even access to the wp-admin page.. I keep getting this message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘class’ (T_CLASS), expecting identifier (T_STRING) or variable (T_VARIABLE) or ‘{‘ or ‘$’ in /home3/duoklier/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/traits/trait-wc-item-totals.php on line 44

How can I fix it? Many many thanks on advance!
    Pablo

  • Hi there. Sorry to hear about your upgrade experience. Do you have access to the files of your WordPress site through ftp?

Not sure.. my hosting is hostgator? does that work as ftp?

Just access your control panel of your hosting, then access the My Files option.

Therein you will see your website files. The folder structure would usually look like : /public_html
    then
    wp-content/
    then
    plugins/

From your error message, it looks like your woocommerce plugin is causing the error, so it is your choice what to do after this, to disable all the plugins or just a single one.

    You can :

Rename the plugin folder itself(deactivating all the plugins)
    or
Rename a single plugin folder(deactivating just that plugin)

This is just a way to test what the issue is and it could get your site back up so you can access the wp-admin and fix the plugin issue if it is the actual issue. Deactivate and active as you test then from wp-admin.Hope this helps.

You might have to rename it back to what it was before after you found the problem plugin.

Thanks a lot Marco! You are a life saver!!

Pleasure to be of service. Do let me know if you succeeded in logging back into your website? Which plugin was the issue?

I do see your site is up and running again. High five!

Yes, I can logging now but it is going to take me a while to get all the plugins back to work and with the original settings..
The issue is with WooCommerce Subscriptions which I’ve had to deactivate. WooCommerce Subscription Downloads & Groups WooCommerce are giving me trouble to with error messages..
    Thanks again! all the best,
    Pablo

Ok great. The Plugin support guys from Woocommerce should be able to help you with that.

All the best with your project.
    Carlo
