When you says “settings” are you referring to the import/export settings? Or the additional plugins that were included? (The four in the second section of the settings page.)
Those four plugins are being removed because they are becoming out-dated and their features are now built-in to wordpress. They will continue to work if you had them on before upgrading, but can no longer be turned “on” if they were not already on. They can only be turned “off”.

I will bring it to attention on updating the video also.

@eddyblom – No settings should have been overwritten, and Heather took special care to ensure that wouldn’t happen. Please let her know what settings you mean, and she already has my request and permission to help you resolve any issues, even if it means giving her access.

To be clear though, while the “settings” of the site itself should not have changed, but the “settings” you see on the plugin admin screen are not the settings of your site until you “run” the plugin again, which is likely not something you want to do. After running the plugin once, the settings showing on the admin screen simply revert to my chosen defaults, and it’s always been that way.

Your point on the video is well taken – yep it’s old, and in need of a re-do. I’ll add it to my “to do” list, and make sure to mention the possible “settings” confusion too…

I’m going to assume that this was resolved by our explanations, and assume that your issue is “resolved”. If I’m wrong, @eddyblom, please reply.

Also, WordPress really seems to suck at notifying us when support tix or replies are left here in their system – If you reply and don’t get an answer within a day, please email shendison(at)seoautomatic.com

I’ll leave this ticket “unresolved” until I make a new training video…

    Hello Hendison Scott,

Thanks for the response and information.
Hope to see the video coming soon. And
    thanks for the plugin! ??

    Kind Regards,
    Eddy

I agree, an updated video would sure be nice. The install procedure on the video is way outdated. Just in case you hadn’t noticed. The plugins don’t have an install on the right side of the admin anymore. And seldom does WP ask for ftp unless there is an issue with the host.

I didn’t get much further than that because it is obvious the video is outdated, and going to youtube, the video was uploaded three years ago. You updated the plugin when?
