So, I am relatively new to WordPress and thought that Paid Membership Pro was an amazing plug in to find. I had started looking into upgrading to get more features; however, I am now trying to figure out if I need to find another option. For some reason, in the ‘my account’ section, users are directed to mysite.com/wp-admin/profile.php. This is not something that anyone other than an admin should be seeing, correct? Since it just used a short code, I do not even see a way to remove this option. Has anyone else experienced this? I really like the features and the look, but don’t want to invest $300 in something that may not give me what I need. HELP! Thanks!

    Hi @ellisontee

Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.

We are currently building a front-end profile editor (which will be included in the free version) and should be released in the near future if all tests pass.

Default WordPress users (subscribers) are able to access the WordPress dashboard, but have limited access – this is a feature of WordPress.

Please have a look at Theme My Login as an alternative (if you need this urgently) as they have a profile extension (front-end profile editor) for around $15 per year (if I remember correctly).

I hope this helps clear things up.
