Hi! I’m trying to update sites to 1.5.9 to fix the Freemius vulnerability, and I am seeing a few sites stuck at 1.5.3 – no update is showing. Is this update only available for the premium version or is something else going on? I linked to one of the sites above that is not showing an update available.

The site is on core 5.9.1, an up-to-date theme, and PHP 7.4.16. I reset file permissions on the server as well, but no luck!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

There was an issue 2 years ago where v1.5.3 had an issue with updates:

Please simply deactivate the plugin first, then update it. Or, delete it and reinstall it. That should resolve the v1.5.3 issues for you.

Please let me know if you have continued trouble.

Thank you! Deactivating and updating didn’t work but deleting and re-installing worked. I was afraid to wipe out any settings but it is so simple that it wasn’t an issue. Thanks!

@karinclimber Good to hear, glad you got it updated successfully.

That bug was quite an issue back then, and I realize more sites may be “stuck” and not being updated. Thanks for your diligence in noticing it and getting it fixed for your sites.
