I upgraded connections on our development server to version 8.2.4 and now the images are not viable. Only showing the title and an icon. Please advise.

@ bsimanton
What version did you upgrade from?
Is your dev server on the web, if so, please share a link.
Load the page up in Chrome, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tab. What is being reported there?

Looking at those console message…
The first thing I suggest is checking that folder. Do those images exist? They should have been created automatically by Connections. I suspect they are in the folder.
If they do not exist, check the folder permissions. Can PHP write to that folder.
If the images do exist, check the server permissions to make sure the folder is public that images can be served from it.
I see the server is responding with a 503 message, so, this definitely seems to be a server config issue.
Connections seems to be work fine, here’s a couple image links that demonstrate this, same image, three different sizes.
Over the weekend another user had what seems like a similar issue. What they determined is the the User Access Manager plugin was blocking the images.
Are you using this plugin?
@ bsimanton
If you are disable the
Lock files
option on its settings page.Steven
Thank you for the follow up. It turns out you were right the first time. I had to recreate the wp-content\uploads\connections-images\ folder and give it 767 permission rights. Here is the link I used to resolve it.https://connections-pro.com/faqs/the-connection_images-folder-is-not-writable/
@ bsimanton
