Update to Version 4.0 Notification Won't Go Away

    According to my plugins page, I’ve successfully updated to MailChimp for WordPress 4.0. However, the banner notification on the WordPress Updates page in the WordPress admin panel prompting me to update won’t go away. I’ll close it, and it will reappear the next time I login to WordPress. It’s just an annoyance.

  • I do see the notification, but I don’t see version 4.0 in plugins to update. Clicking dimiss, brings the notification back.

    Can you please upgrade to the latest version 4.0.2 and let us know if that resolves the issue?

    Thanks, Harish. Upgrading to 4.0.2 did the trick.

    I have the same issue, I have updated to 4.0 but the banner keeps appearing. I don’t have an option to update to 4.02 in the dashboard?

    Actually I see the latest as the direct download. All good ??
