Update to V2 has destroyed everything

    Today i have done the Update to V2 and all is destroyed, in the moment we run the backup to restore everything the way it was before the Updat…

    Major Problems are:
    – Paid listings are not working anymore because the “Update” for the payment manager is not working even if we follow the instructions
    – To update the payment manager, you need a membership or you need to pay it again? Because there is no update running even if we follow the instructions.
    – The created pages are not working anymore
    – Installed Invoices and installed the WP Easy Update both are ot helping to solve the problems
    – The documentation is less helpful it always comes with more links to mor text but no solutions anyway.

    So don’t see any reason why you shuld run for an Update…

    In the momenet we did not rate the PGD and we are thinking about it depending on solutions we can do now.

    Hi @leogc,

    FYI the update for GDv2 is optional, we are still supporting GDv1, if you don’t have access to v2 addons i suggest you stay on GDv1 until you do.

    Aha, and will there be Updates available in GDV1 as the Updater shows always the update to version 2…. We get the page created by a designer so i don’t know which parts he used and which not. GD is just one small part of the page.

    Yes, addon updates will work as normal, core updates will come from the github page here: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/geodirectory/releases
    (we are working on a way to make this automatic also)

    GDv1 and its addond will get security and maintenance updates for around 1 year, the only thing that will be lacking will be new features, those will be added to GDv2 only.
