  • Funny! I also moved to China after NL! hahaha

I found it !! I was preparing a full test environment for you and I found where the problem comes. When in permalinks I use the default system it works, when I switch to the postname one, it does not work.

Happens the same with a clear new installation of osticket and wp with the standard theme.

And if I use the default permalink system, I can see the ticket list, but when I click to a create new ticket, it goes to the home page.

Just tell me some private way I can send you all the users and passwords (wp, ftp, oscticket…) and you can try whatever you need.

    haha,
    where did you move to?
    i’m in Shenzhen.

hmm premalinks, makes sense as i think it hardcodes the pretty link one if i check in the DB.

    our own setup is using:
/%category%/%postname%/ which seems to work fine..

there’s still a bug with the shortcode tho, found out redirect functions dont work with shortcodes so we are recoding quite a bit

I was in Beijing. Now I’m back in Barcelona but looking again for a job back in China ??

With /%category%/%postname%/ or /%postname%/ it does not work for me (same problem as yesterday, empty page). Just the default system “?p=123” loads the page.

Also I was trying now changing manually the url address with the default system to try different things, and many of them are not working, such:
    – When I create a ticket this gets registered in osticket but without name, mail.
    – When i want to see a ticket it says that the ticket does not exist
    – etc…

I suppose it’s all related with the hardcoded links. But at least looks like we find the error.

Feel free to use the test environment I’ve created, since it’s a clean install of the both systems. Just tell me where I can send you the passwords if you need it.

    Thanks.

    Rubén.

    Alright,

Well we are currently fixing the shortcode redirect function still (main priority as it’s currently not refering to login and such)

after that i’m happy to take a look

    Hey ruben,

After a while of coding we finally made the ticket system capable with multiple styles of premalinks (and non premalinks)

I have uploaded the code to your provided test site.
can you please confirm it loads OK now?

    Regards,
    Marco

Nvm, found another issue –> if user isn’t in OSticket yet –> WP doesn’t submit user info.

    Fixing that now ??

    Alright,

It’s confirmed fixed on multiple test environments with multiple premalinks

After this fix we uncovered a create osTicket user issue, which took a while to solve, however this also got resolved.

version 1.1.1 now also has form validation added back in.
Let me know if you encounter any new error.

Please note: due to a bug in scp some users might of created a broken osTicket user –> these need to be removed before our plugin works again (if it exists it will create a empty ticket).

    Regards,
    Marco

Thank you for your interest in contacting us.
Our system is currently offline for maintenance, please check back later.

This is the message I am getting. I have not been able to see any tickets etc..

any ideas as to what i am doing wrong?

    Hello,

It means the plugin is currently in Offline mode.
if you can’t turn it online the most common reason is Database settings that do not match.

    Regards,
    Marco

Marco I have the s Database settings matching. It says “Your settings saved successfully…Thank you!” so that is working. In the OST settings it will not save online. If that matters.

That message just means the settings that you entered have been saved.
it does not validate if their correct tho. (but i guess that would be a nice feature addition considering many seem to have issues with it).

to get the plugin online all it needs is the correct DB settings, including prefix and so forth.

The DB settings were correct; These are the only 2 items that transferred over to the db
