After updating from 5.2.8 to 5.2.9 I was confronted with a blank page when opening the backend of the site.
After removing the plugin folder of events-manager the site came back, but when I activate the plugin the problem comes back.

It also did not help to upload the version 5.2.8 again..

can you try to turn-on WP_DEBUG or see your php logs to see if there’s any other error or try to temporarily:

    – deactivate all plugins except Events Manager
    – temporarily reverting back to default theme

Turning on WP_DEBUG does not give me any errors.

Reverting back to default theme is a hassle (its even been deleted on all of my client sites ?? )
Since this site uses a lot of sidebars etc. switching themes is more often then not painstaking.

Disabled everything and then enabled plugins one by one… now its working again. Alas I have not found the plugin that causes it this way…

Will be releasing 5.3 within the hour so maybe that’ll help.

I will wait for a few days… I have reverted back to 5.2.8 and will stay there until confirmed that this version is ok.
Yours is the second plugin that bit me in the ass in 2 days. The other one was allready on 50 sites before I discovered there was a problem with it. I am going to take the backseat for the updates for a while. Cost me a day to get everything back to normal…
