I am trying to update to 2.7.11. The update seems to go fine but then the installed version is still 2.7.10 and it’s offering the update again. Maybe the zip file is wrong?

I’d suggest just deleting it off your installed site as something might be standing in the way of you updating in your installation. The version online is definitely 2.7.11 (it’s already been pushed out to multiple sites).

When I run into weird issues like this, I just go into the site and drop the plugin in a backups/ directory and re-install a fresh copy from the Plugin Repo. Your configuration is all in the database so you shouldn’t lose anything at all.

I am using Github Updater for the plugin updates. Could that be the source of the problem?

Using the ‘try another version’ on the plugin page and choosing 2.*/2.7.11 seems to have worked. I switched it back to ‘master’ after that and it seems fine.

Perfect, glad to hear it! I’ve gotten bad installs sometimes from the WordPress plugin repository, but never from GitHub. Someday maybe WP will switch to git instead of svn.
