Update Shipping at checkout using simple button

My Issue is that I’m using a very old/outdated plugin that uses an API to fetch shipping rates. However, it doesn’t always update the shipping tiers after the customer puts in their address. I want to add a manual update button that refreshes the shipping tiers/methods. Right now, I have a radio button that updates shipping stairs, but it doesn’t always work, and it’s also confusing for my customers. Please help. Is there a code snippet I can add to a button or ……
