• Hi, i did a update of wordpress 3.0.4 to 3.0.5 yesterday, and similarly for my twentyten theme, and, to my astonishment, changes i had made previously are gone! for my site, the font color changed back to black, the site title appears, and i am so fed up!

I had inserted “display: none; ” into #site-title, and yet it still appears. im going mad.

can i upload back my previous backup of twentyten theme so that the changes will be back?

    pls help, many thanks.

  • Twenty-ten comes with the WordPress installation so (I’m assuming) that when you update it updates all of the theme files with default files.

So… yes, I would try uploading a back-up of the theme and see if that fixes it.

    thank you for the response.

i had did that, and surprising, the although i uploaded my previous style.css, together with the rest of previous versions (ie. i uploaded my old 3.0.4 twentyten theme folder), and yet the site title is still there, fonts are still black!!!!!!!!

    whats going on?!?!?!

i had cleared cache everytime i load the page again.

If you are about to make any changes to the default theme it is best to make a child theme from it and do any changes there. Then if you do an update the child theme css (and any template files that you have included in the child theme) are unchanged by the update.

just backup theme folder and then upload it back. that’s what I do every wordpress update
