A suggestion for your plugin: include a config setting to set a new role on banning a user. This could default to “Subscriber”. On my site I have it set to a specific “Banned” role.

An appropriate hook would be sufficient.

    Hi Richard,

I’ve finished coding these changes so within the plugin settings page you now have the option to select a role that a banned user is automatically assigned/transferred to upon being banned. The changes are available for testing if you are interested? Please send me an email at [email protected] and I will email you a the pre-release 1.5.2 plugin. Many thanks.

    Matt.

Massive thanks Richard for your support in beta testing v1.5.2 of the ban user plugin which has just been released. I’ll advise you once your other great suggestions have been developed and packaged as part of the 1.5.3 release.

    Cheers again!
    Matt.
