Upgrading the Yoast SEO plugin to version 15.8 (or 15.9) causes a major issue with the Slide Anything plugin within the WordPress Dashboard. With Yoast SEO installed you cannot see and edit your sliders within the WP Dashboard, although your sliders still work on the front-end.

I have dug into this a bit further and have discovered that this issue occurs with the ‘Preview Slider’ feature within Slide Anything, which displays a popup preview within the Slider edit page.

So in the latest release of Slide Anything I now detect whether the Yoast SEO plugin is installed, and if so then I disable the ‘Preview Slider’ functionality – this workaround/solution resolves the issue. The ‘Preview Slider’ functionality will now only be available if Yoast SEO plugin is not installed.

So to recap, resolve this issue by updating Slide Anything to the latest version which is version 2.3.33.

    Hi, and thanks.

Same problem occurs with the plugin Rank Math:

Please, can you check that? The issue is the same.

    Thanks and good work.

I am still having this problem – slides say “slide content” but they look OK on the actual page. I am using WP5.6.2, the latest SA – 2.3.33 – and Yoast but Yoast PRO Version 15.9.1.

Try deactivating & deleting version 2.3.33 of Slide Anything and then installing it again. I added a fix for the FREE version of Yoast to ver 2.3.33 and then added the same fix for the PRO version later into the same version 2.3.33. I did not want 2 separate version numbers for a release which is essentially a release to fix a single problem.

Good idea and thank you. That seems to have fixed it!
