I have just used Installatron to update wordpress. My site still works fine, but when I logged in to admin, initially my dashboard was not functional and only in text and hyperlinks. After searching support, I added this line in the wp-config.php file:

    ‘define(‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true);’

This fixed the display of the dashboard page, but when I click on Posts or Pages links on LHS, it indicates no pages are stored. This is despite the fact that under the ‘Right Now’ section of the Dashboard, it indicates there are 5 pages. Also tried to update or deactivate plugins, these links don’t appear to work either.

Any help would be much appreciated. I’m not a pro at this, I’m hoping there will be an easy fix! Using Installatron, I made a backup before updating, and have used Installatron to revert to backup, but the problem has persisted. I have no idea what to do next.

Where is your site hosted? If you are on Crazy Domains, they are having serious problems –

I’m with Austdomains. I also forgot to mention that I have also tried clearing cookies and cache, no luck. Austdomains host another website for me, and I haven’t yet tried to update WordPress on it. The admin page for that site works fine.

According to a Google search, Austdomains is owned by Crazy Domains. Have you asked them about these issues?

Thanks, yes I contacted them this morning and they told me that they are aware of the problem and are in the process of fixing. Thanks for your help. Hopefully they will provide a speedy resolution!
