Update post does not show new post – but view post does

  • When I do an update to a post, I save and can go to view post or preview changes and see how the post looks. When I update post, the change does not appear.
    This happens frequently around paragraph breaks, which I understand is a whole topic unto itself. But even other changes do not show after I update – whereas in “view post” or preview changes they are there.

  • It depends on what you are trying to update. WordPress often takes out broken HTML in your posts if needed. Maybe that’s whats happening?

    I am trying to update a blog post. But I even tried creating a brand new post, and entered the text in via notepad (not word). It still wont update the page breaks. I checked this issue and followed the solution of the setting the format to “paragraph”. After i do everything I am supposed to do, it seems to look great in view post.
    But not when I go to the real page.

    URL please and have you gone thru the normal debug? Disable all plugins and switch to the twentyten theme. Now does it work? If so add everything back until it breaks.
