When I attempt, or the auto upload option is used, to update the plugins it gets stuck at the Maintenance mode. Then the website shuts down with this message “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.”

I have tried to update the plugins in different ways and from different areas through WP. Each time I get the same message. I have cleared all caches. Searched the forums and only found one similar case. His fix didn’t help me. It doesn’t seem to be plugin specific. Currently have 4 that won’t update.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

WordPress generates a .maintenance file in the root directory of your website when it is in maintenance mode. If this file remains after the update process is complete, it can cause your website to remain in maintenance mode. You can manually delete the file using an FTP client or your web hosting control panel to resolve this issue.

Do you have the plugin Astra Starter Templates installed? If so, it’s blocking updates. Deactivate it, then update it. That will fix the update issues. You can then re-activate it and update your other plugins normally.
