• Hi,

    WP 5.3.2
I have this problem. But seems not to be a permission problem, I tried with chmod 777 on the wp-content dir, on the plugins and subdirectories dir, on the upload dir but still have this error…2 How to manage to know which problem is sending this error?…

For informations the website was installed on a server wiothj php 5.6 and now it is 7.1 (don’t know if it is interresting to know). Before it was able to update and now not… I’m searching for days… ??

    Thanks

  • That error is kind of a safety check when installing a new plugin… It might be that there is a directory already present named the same as what the plugin wants to use… happens once in a while and you’ll get that error then.

Check the directory names and if you find one that is empty that somewhat makes sense for your plugin then you might delete it or else rename it.

It might be an ownership problem on the subject directory, too.

Else contact the plugin author for further help.
