Update: pin linking to image url instead

Hoping for a turn off option as well, otherwise I will uninstall this plugin. If someone pins your image from your site and the image has an affiliate link to Amazon, you can get your account cancelled if they see this.

Yup and I want my pins to promote my post, not something they’re linking to.

thanks for your feedback, that’s a fair point. What would you say about the URL going to Pinterest only if it points to your own website? This way any affiliate links would be ignored without the need to introduce another option.

I don’t really get what you’re saying.
A photo pinned from a post should link back to that post, that’s all.

Same as @wonderful-wanderings said: I don’t know what you mean. You want people to come to your website from Pinterest not send them somewhere else.

okay, so I guess my last message wasn’t as clear as I wanted it to be ;). Nevertheless, I thought it through and decided to add the option to disable using linked URL. I just released the 3.0.1 version of the plugin with that option available. Hope that’s what you were looking for.
