Update Number of Comments

I had a client that “accidentally” turned off his spam filter. Next thing you now, they had over 7000 spam comments.

We had “automatically approve comments” on.

I went and got them all deleted.

The problem now is that the post still shows 7000 comments when there are none. How can I fix or update this?
