Update issue with Aksimet and WP 3.0

  • I have WP 3.0.2 running with the Akismet 2.4.0 plug in working. Attempt to automatic upgrade to 2.5.1 and get a error saying WP can not create the file: /web/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/akismet/
    I have checked and the file does exist (where it should, I think) and it has date in it. I am running WP on my Synology DS210j with DSM 3.0.
    What am I doing wrong?

    As an added note, I can not update WP 3.0.2 to 3.0.3 either.

    Download the zip file and upgrade manually, as your automatic upgrade did not work.

    Also upgrade Akismet manually if your automatic upgrade does not work.
