The update released a few hours ago has broken my 5 sites. Where can I download the previous version? The WP Rollback plugin cannot find the previous plugin. Can you help urgently

Guys are you not just replying to this?

Also breaking at least 5 different sites for me (on different servers/environments-both NGINX & Apache) – would be surprised if the dev hasn’t had the same issue!

Seems like it’s to do with the theme/plugin rewriting not working properly when on WP 5.5.

Are these guys really reading this?

    Doesn’t seem like it..

I just had 2 client sites break on updates – even with Hide My WP deactivated it was changing URLs, and causing fatal errors throughout WP. Having it on broke a bunch of JS/Google API calls/URLs – when I tried to deactivate, change the db entry, or rename the folder, it would break the entire site.

I spent 8+ hours today getting WP to work correctly / figuring out how to deactivate. :/

I run Hide my WP on a lot of websites, I need to update them all – but now I’m stuck because of this situation. What are we meant to do?!

Have emailed the developer & linked this thread also – hopefully something is done.

    Hi @livingstonewere and @triex,

Sorry for the delay. We verified on Friday what could affect the website on update and we came today with an upgrade.

It’s still not very clear as we added some compatibilities in the plugin for more servers but we rolled back some functions that could affect you.

Let me know if it’s working with version 4.0.10

Plugin doesn’t hide themes and plugins anymore when you scan URL here unlike before

    https://scanwp.net/

    And here

    https://whatwpthemeisthat.com/

Particularly websites on which WP ROCKET has been installed. Can you investigate this.

I have three site on which wp rocket has been and when you scan with above scanners, themes and plugins are shown

While other two sites on which I have not installed wp rocket, plugins and themes are hidden when you scan URLs with the above scanners

    What is happening?

    Hi @livingstonewere,

We will check the WP Rocket compatibility today and see if we get the same behavior with our test websites.

Let me know if you followed all the instructions from this tutorial:

    @johndarrel

All the processes have been followed

As I told you earlier I have 5 sites and I have shared all the URL’s of all my sites on the contact page response of your main site.

When wp rocket is enabled, themes and plugins are easily found when scanned with scanners below

    1. https://scanwp.net/
    2. https://whatwpthemeisthat.com/

When you disable or remove WP rocket, then the above scanners won’t be able to find plugins and themes. VEry interesting. I actually did not expect this

Please check and update us ASAP

Sure, we are already checking the last version of the plugins.

    Can you please tell me:
    – your WordPress version
    – your Hide My WP Ghost version
    – your Wp-Rocket version
    – your server type (Apache, Nginx, Windows)

and please send me the website URL here or on [email protected]

    Best, John
