Update file button in theme editor dissapearing?

  • Hi!

    I was about to add a line in my theme’s function.php file when I discovered that the update file button was nowhere to be seen. Someone know what might have happend or what’s causing this?

    Is there a note below like “You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information.”

    Yes it is! Kind of emerassing ??

    But I’ve still got problems though… Tried different permissons but couldn’t get it to work. What should I set the permissions to? And for which file? functions.php or the entire theme folder?

    If you want to edit the theme from in the theme editor, you should have the folder, and the files, set to 755 (or 777, depends on your server).
